What VASER Actually Is
VASER stands for Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance, which is a marketing-friendly way of saying ultrasound-assisted liposuction. In a traditional procedure, often called suction-assisted lipoplasty, the surgeon infiltrates the area with tumescent fluid and then moves a thin cannula back and forth to mechanically break up and suction out fat. VASER adds a step: before suctioning, the surgeon inserts a probe that emits ultrasonic energy, which liquefies fat and loosens it from the surrounding connective tissue. The firming promise has a plausible mechanism behind it. That is a real, measurable edge on retraction, but it is an incremental one, not a transformation. Other reviews note that outcomes in liposuction correlate far more strongly with surgeon skill, patient anatomy, and skin quality than with which energy device sat in the surgeon's hand. The Trade-Offs Nobody Advertises
Adding ultrasonic energy is not free of downside. Who Genuinely Benefits

The retraction benefit is modest, the outcome still rides on the surgeon, and the added heat brings its own small risks.
